Tips for keeping your tires in shape

The information on how much weight your vehicle can safely manage is located on the sign on your door frame. Tire failure can also be caused by overloading a vehicle.
Perform a physical inspection of your tires while monitoring tire pressure or cleaning your car. Don't be scared to get your hands a little dirty – you want to make sure your tires are in great condition at all times. Cracks, bulges, and items that may have punctured the tire are all things to look out for when inspecting.
You should rotate your tires every 6,000 to 8,000 miles to ensure even tread wear and get the most life out of them.
Each month, tires can lose about one pound per square inch of air (PSI). In colder areas, a tire might lose much more. If you only have your mechanic check your tire pressure during oil changes or tire rotations, you may be putting yourself and your family in danger.
Mismatched tires can affect the control of your automobile and create unusual wear and tear on the rest of your tires and other vehicle components.
